چکیده

Because of their Yukawa interactions, third generation squarks may be substantially lighter than those of the first two generations. Assuming that b̃1 → bZ̃1 and Z̃1 escapes experimental detection, we show that experiments at the Main Injector upgrade (integrated luminosity of 2 fb−1) of the Tevatron should be sensitive to b-squark masses up to 210 GeV for m Z̃1 ≤ 120 GeV. For integrated luminosities of 10 fb−1 (25 fb−1) the sbottom mass reach increases by 20 GeV (35 GeV). If the channel b̃1 → bZ̃2 is also accessible, the reach becomes model-dependent and may be degraded relative to the case where only the decay to Z̃1 is allowed. In models with gaugino mass unification and μ much larger than gaugino masses, we argue that this degradation is unlikely to be larger than 30-40 GeV. The Reach of Cern Lep2 and Fermilab Tevatron Upgrades for Higgs Bosons in Supersymmetric Models

Luminosity upgrades of the Fermilab Tevatron pp̄ collider have been shown to allow experimental detection of a Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson up to mHSM ∼ 120 GeV via WHSM → lνbb̄ events. This limit nearly saturates the parameter space for many models of weak scale supersymmetry (SUSY) with a minimal particle content. It is therefore interesting to examine the SUSY Higgs reach of future Tevatron...

Non-inclusive searches for squarks and gluinos at the Tevatron

Recent results from the CDF and DØ Collaborations on searches for squarks and gluinos at the Run II of the Fermilab Tevatron collider are presented. This review covers searches for final states involving specific mass hierarchies. The analysed datasets correspond to an integrated luminosity of 300-1000 pb collected from proton anti-proton collisions at a centerof-mass energy of 1.96 TeV. No sig...

Tevatron Energy and Luminosity Upgrades beyond the Main Injector

The Fermilab Tevatron will be the world’s highest energy hadron collider until the LHC is commissioned, it has the world’s highest energy fixed target beams, and Fermilab will be the leading high energy physics laboratory in the US for the foreseeable future. Following the demise of the SSC, a number of possible upgrades to the Tevatron complex, beyond construction of the Main Injector, are bei...

Increased yield of ttbb at Hadron Colliders in low-energy supersymmetry.

Light bottom squarks and gluinos have been invoked to explain the b quark pair production excess at the Fermilab Tevatron. We investigate the associated production of ttbb at hadron colliders in this scenario, and find that the rates for this process are enhanced over the standard model prediction. If light gluinos exist, it may be possible to detect them at the Tevatron, and they could easily ...

Search for top squarks at the Fermilab Tevatron collider.

The lighter superpartner of the top quark (t̃1) may be considerably lighter than squarks of the first two generations, and hence may be accessible to Tevatron collider searches, even if the other squarks and the gluino are too heavy. For the range of mt̃1 of interest at the Tevatron, the t̃1 decays to a chargino via t̃1 → bW̃1 if this is kinematically allowed; otherwise, the flavorchanging loop deca...
